New Changes Benefit Nautical Tourism Businesses in Puerto Rico

In July 2010, a Tourism Development bill was approved by the Puerto Rico Legislative Assembly which enables Nautical Tourism Businesses the benefits of tax exemptions that hotels have been enjoying for years. Under the bill, a business that provides Nautical activities such as a charter boat company, will enjoy a 90% income tax exemption, 100% exemption on paid dividends, 100% sales tax exemption on new business purchases.
So what does this mean for an investor? It means now is the best time to buy or invest in a Nautical based tourism business! These tax benefits are incredible and should entice savvy investors into the Puerto Rico market.
